Maria Sokolova is one of the piano and voice teachers at Hearts’ Home Acoustics. Born and raised in Moscow, Russia, she graduated from Moscow Music School #1168 where she studied piano, music theory, solfeggio, and choir for 8 years.
Her passion is music and loves to teach children and adults of all ages and backgrounds. She has been teaching since 1994 and has developed methods for children with special needs, dyslexia, and teaching music as a therapy. In 1997 she had a chance to pursue a career in opera but chose to continue to work in the school in Moscow as a teacher. As she would say: “No regrets. I love what I’m doing.”
